The Rock Cycle

Rock: natural solid from under ground
Rock Cycle: Process from old rocks make new rock
Erosion: process which wind, water, ice, or gravity transport soil and more from one location to other
Deposition: process in which material is laid down
Composition: chemical makeup of a rock
Texture: the way the rock feels and based on size and shape

- Rocks have been important since humans were alive
- Rock were used for tools
- Rocks are a very good building source it make building and more
- Some geologist make and destroy rocks
- Sedimentary rocks form when buried sediment is squeezed bye weight of overlying layers or sediment
- Buried rocks exposed at the Earth's surface by uplifting erosion
- Uplift in movement within Earth causes rocks inside Earth's surface to move
- Steps of Rock Cycle
1. Sedimentary Rock
2. Metamorphic Rock
3. Magma
4 Igneous Rock
5. Sediment
- The rock cycle keeps going on and on
- Scientist group the rocks into main classes
- Igneous: Magma cools
- Sedimentary: Divide in to more groups
- Metamorphic: Divided in to more groups
- This is based on the rocks form
